Shellshock wins at LIT Film Festival

Shellshock won in the category of Best Camera at the LIT Film Festival Awards last night at the Millennium Theatre in Limerick, congratulations to all cast & crew, in particular to Director of Photography, Dean Kavanagh.

Shellshock wins at National Student Media Awards

'This film stood out for its consistence of high production values throughout from lighting to costume to set design and editing.  It was a well written story which was told in a visual and cinematic manner and was very well executed'

Shellshock took the prize for Short Film of the Year at the National Student Media Awards last night in the Ballsbridge Hotel. The awards were held by oxygen.ie and the category was sponsored by the Irish Film Board.

Shellshock Wins At Celtic Media Festival

Shellshock picked up the Bronze Torc for Excellence in the Student Fiction category at an awards ceremony at the 2012 Celtic Media Festival in Derry earlier today. It was selected from a shortlist of films from Ireland, Scotland, Wales, the Isle of Man and Cornwall. Congratulations to all the cast & crew.

Shellshock Nominated for LIT Film Festival Awards

Shellshock has been nominated in four categories at the 2012 LIT Film Festival. The nominations are as follows:

Best Camera (DOP/Camera Operator Dean Kavanagh)
Best Lighting (DOP Dean Kavanagh, Gaffer Tara Lacken)
Best Direction (Writer/Director John Corcoran)
Sony Best Overall (Writer/Director John Corcoran, Producer Jean Igoe, Executive Producer Gerry Johnston)

The festival takes place April 26th-28th 2012, and the Awards Ceremony takes place at 7.30pm on Saturday, 28th April in the Millennium Theatre, Limerick.
